ITINERARY
DAY 1 : ARRIVAL
0630HRS Meet and greet at airport, then proceed to hotel. Short drive around the city and brief stop at the City mosque of KK/ Menara Tun Razak, Tg Aru Beach, Poh Toh Tze temple, Signal hill plus a chance to shop at the handicradt market. Free & easy. Overnight stay.
DAY 2: MARI MARI VILLAGE

Pick up from hotel and transfer to the village. Located about 25 minutes from the city,the Mari Mari cultural village showcases 5 of the 32 ethnic groups found in Sabah. In the village, you will be introduced to various traditional homes of Sabahan ethnic communities the Bajau, Lundayeh, Murut, Rungus and Dusun, which are built by descendants of the tribes which they represent. Experience the traditional lifestyle and learn about their cultures and traditions as well as tasting their traditional delicacies.Visit each tribe’s traditional house and witness demonstration on blow pipe making, tree bark making to a vest, traditional trampoline like floor, rice wine making, and the art of ancient body tattoos.You may leisure around for about 30mins, to shop or take photos. Enjoy delectable traditional and fusion cuisines for lunch / high – tea / dinner before the end of the tour. The trip ends with a cultural performances.
DAY 3: TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN MARINE PARK
0830hrs: Meet at hotel lobby and transfer to jetty.
Upon arrival at the jetty, hop on for a short 20 minutes boat ride to the island of your choice. Spend designated time on the first island before proceeding to the second island for BBQ lunch. After lunch, you are free to explore the short forest trails, swim or participate in activities like Snorkeling, Parasailing, Banana Boating, Fly-fishing and Windsurfing. You can also laze around the Beach soaking the tropical sun.
1600hrs: Prepare to pack up and standby by the island jetty for return boat ride to Kota Kinabalu jetty and onward transfer to your hotel.
DAY 3: KINABALU PARK / HOT SPRING
0745HRS: Meet at hotel lobby.
Take a scenic 1/2 hr drive to Tamparuli Town. Visit Historical Wooden Shop houses of olden days and walk across the “Jambatan Tampurali”, a suspension bridge which is the famous landmark in that small town to get a feel of kampong lifestyle. Thereafter, proceed to Kinabalu Park. Journey will take approximately 1 1/2 hours passing by villages and paddy fields along mountainous roads that wind along the Crocker range. Along the way, make a brief stop at Nabalu. Nabalu is a place where the local natives gather to sell local produce, fruits, home grown vegetables and handicraft souvenirs.
1000HRS: On arrival at Kinabalu Park, you will notice the change in air temperature. Enjoy the refreshing and cooling air as you proceed for a walk along the nature trails in the Botanical Garden. If the day is clear, you may even spot a majestic view of Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain between the New Guinea and Himalaya. Kinabalu Park boasts an estimate of 4,500 species of plants which include 1,500 species of orchids, 77 of which are endemic to Kinabalu. The park also supports 289 species of birds and 290 different types of butterflies.
After the walk, depart for lunch at a local restaurant.

1400HRS: After lunch, depart for another interesting wonder, the Poring Hot Spring. At approximately 47 kilometers from Kinabalu Park, Poring Hot Spring got its name from the tall bamboo plant that is abundant in that area. At this natural hot spring, there are Japanese baths where visitors can soak themselves and let the invigorating sulfurous water stimulate the body. It is believed to have curative powers. Visitors can also try the Treetop Canopy Walk, where suspension bridge are suspended at the top of the tropical jungle. Experience the height of 41 metres above the ground and length of 157 metres. A 20 minutes hike is needed to reach the Canopy Walkway.
1600HRS : After a relaxing soak, bid Kinabalu park goodbye as you return back to your hotel
DAY 5: KLIAS RIVER CRUISE
1345HRS : Pick up from hotel lobby.
Begin your journey to Kota Klias Peninsula (approximately 112km from Kota Kinabalu city), passing by some local villages, small towns and local roadside fruit stalls. Klias is located in between the small town as well as district of Beaufort and Kuala Penyu. Upon arrival, you will be served a simple local style high tea before proceeding for the river cruise.
1600HRS : During the river cruise, you will be able to spot many wildlife habitats like the long tail macaque, birds such as Kingfishers, darter, eagle and of course the Proboscis Monkey. You will be able to differentiate the female and male proboscis monkey by their appearance and behavior. Guide will briefly explain on the habits of these fascinating creatures. As you cruise till darkness set in, witness and be amazed by nature’s Christmas lighting, the fireflies! Depending on weather condition and luck, you might even spot nocturnal animals like the flying fox and night bats. Do bring along binoculars to have a better view of the animals.
1800HRS : After the exciting river cruise, head back to the jetty for a sumptuous dinner spread which typically consists of meats marinated in different styles, rice, potatoes and veggies. Return to the city.
2100HRS : Estimated arrival time at the city
DAY 6 DEPARTURE
After checkout, transfer to airport for departure flight.
